Schizophrenic/psychotic people are especially vulnerable to various types of abuse and we need to talk about it.
If you’re used to doubting your own perceptions and relying on other people for reality checks, you’re much more vulnerable to gaslighting.
If you’re already paranoid, people can easily fuel that paranoia and use it to further isolate and control you.
If you’re delusional or hallucinating, people can manipulate you further into your delusions/hallucinations and use them to control you and abuse you.
If you’re used to ignoring your instincts because they’re rarely reliable, you might accidentally ignore som very real red flags.
If you rely on a person to take care of you, you may be forced to ignore mistreatment because you don’t have other options.
If you struggle to communicate with other people due to thought disorders, disorganized/atypical speech or lack of speech (alogia) you may struggle to speak up and ask for help.
If you have a psychosis spectrum disorder of any kind, it can be used by your abuser to invalidate and dismiss you if you do speak up against your abuse.
So please look out for your schizophrenic friends, relatives and acquaintances – cause we can’t always look out for ourselves.
It would mean a lot to me if you’d consider reblogging this as schizophrenics are usually the ones painted as dangerous and scary, and it’s important to me that people as many people as possible see that we’re usually the ones who are vulnerable and scared.
Hey there! First of all… welcome to this fandom! haha I’m glad the crazy didn’t stop you from joining this kpop lane. hehe
Uhmmm… actually, I don’t know if I have right to give tips. I also have gifsets that don’t get that many notes. I’ve been a Yoongi focused blogger for almost 3 years now. It took me months to gain traction with the followers, not to mention the note count since the fandom was much much smaller then. But… since you asked… here are some tips, I guess.
PROPER TAGGING – Gifs are searchable now and can be used by other people through the gif search. Tag the action, possible reaction use, proper member, proper group, proper event.
SPEED – Learn how to find better sources fast and make content fast. Fact is, there are more people in this fandom and more people make similar content from the same source. If you release a gif set that is similar to a post that already received a lot of notes and has been around the orbit, people may just like your post and not reblog it anymore.
QUALITY – Be aware of how you can improve your gif quality. Always be willing to learn and improve your speed. I admittedly have much to learn too. I just hope to keep getting better. Find out what your senpais are using to edit and increase your quality, see how you can match up. Also, try and make your posts more aesthetic.
CONSISTENCY – Keep posting. You don’t need to have multiple posts everyday, but try to make sure that you post atleast once per content that is released. This might help people see you as a reliable source and would increase the likelyhood of them following you and reblogging.
BE STUBBORN – If you have an idea for a post and you think someone else already made them first, still make them. I have old gif posts that didn’t get much notes in the past that somehow resurfaces on my activity page still. You’ll never know who can like your work down the road.
EXPAND YOUR NETWORK – Join BTS focused networks and make friends. This widens your circle a bit more. More possible people to reblog. These people can also help when they recommend you blog to their followers. BUT BUT BUT! Please don’t just befriend people to get these perks. Be sincere. There are a lot of amazing people in this fandom that I’ve grown to love. 😀
BE RESPECTFUL – Be honest in your blog. Post things you want and answer asks truthfully. Even if they send in hate, be smart about it and be respectful. Learn how to be the bigger person instead of instigating more negativity.
POST WHAT YOU LIKE! – I started blogging because there was just a bunch of Yoongi/ Bangtan content and updates that I wanted to keep and make for myself. I reached my first thousandth follower almost a year into blogging. Getting notes are fun but don’t focus on it.
Be grateful to your blog’s followers. They are the ones who will see your work first. Also, reblogs have always been harder to come by as opposed to likes, it’s normal. If you keep loving your blog and making posts you love, notes will come eventually. 😀 I wish you and your blog all the best!
BONUS TIP! BE RESPECTFUL TO OPs BY CREDITING PROPERLY! ISTG! DO NOT REPOST! DO NOT REBLOG REPOSTERS! This can help increase your credibility with other content creators and may help them in considering to reblog your work.
listen, i love 21st century girl. But it’s a song about self-confidence dedicated to a girl from a boy’s perspective. Claiming it as a feminist anthem is kinda misguided imo
but tbh there’s a few things I think you need to know about yoongi and his past as an underground rapper and his transition to an ‘idol rapper’ and everything that went along with it to be able to really know what he’s talking about
there are a few things you can take from these lyrics, along with many of his other lyrics from his mixtape and cypher tracks. for this song in particular, the lyrics express namely his animosity towards “real rappers” and underground rappers looking down on idol rappers . something he talks about a lot and has clearly weighed heavy on him for years. yoongi, as a struggling underground rapper who literally made next to no money, couldn’t eat, no one supported him or his ambitions, couldn’t sell his tracks for more than a couple of coins decided to go to bigger companies. yoongi has never lied about why he joined bighit, he wanted money, he wanted to support himself, he wanted to do what he loved, do it well and be paid for it. that was why he decided to join bighit (bangtan was supposed to be a hiphop group, nothing like it is today) but because of this, he was seen by ‘real rappers’ and underground rappers as selling out, and couldn’t make it as a real rapper so he had to become an ‘idol rapper’. that he was too weak and didn’t have the endurance to face the hardships or what it takes to actually succeed and earn his dos. he and namjoon were dragged a loooott for this. that they sold out and are fake rappers, with no talent, wearing makeup and basically a ‘disgrace’ to the hiphop scene.
but then these same rappers talking down to them for selling out, are ruuuunnning to SMTM for their chance at 2 seconds of fame. a heavily produced and commercialized show that will play on any narrative to get certain people varying degrees of success, if you know the right people.
yoongi is essentially saying that he didn’t want or need to “prove” himself, his talents, his skills on a show like SMTM, to these same pieces of trash that were once to eager to shit on him. he had the opportunity but decided to say fuck you right back to them, it’s not that he couldn’t, that he’s not a talented rapper, it’s that he didn’t want to waste his time on something below him. regardless of what he does, people will always have something to say. so say it, he doesn’t give a fuck, say what you want, he’s writing/producing/composing/arranging his own music, in a highly successful group, he works hard and makes money doing exactly what he had set out to do. he doesn’t have to prove shit, or flaunt anything. he is what he is, and no one can deny that.
he’s not like these people who will do anything to be perceived as ‘real’ and ‘hard’ so that they can be accepted, faking hardships, challenges, acting out, dragging idol rappers, taking pictures for social media of their ‘crew’ or their ‘luxury’ items. all that is fake. these people may talk like they know what it’s like to face these hardships, fighting external and internal demons. but they don’t know what the real hardships are, how hard he had to work, what he went through, what it takes to be in that oh so shunned idol group, being alone from everything and everyone you know. everything is fake, everything is an act to fit into the underground rap scene, to ‘look’ and ‘sound real’ when they’re the fakest ones.
tldr: it’s a big fuck you, you’re below me and I don’t have to prove shit to you or waste my time when I could be making loads of money as the successful idol rapper I am.
watch this video for some more context since, as a new fan you probably haven’t heard about this, or that this is part of the story behind the cypher tracks
I got it mainly for two reasons: A) I already own a tinier one as a gift, so I wanted another. B) And secondly because the bright yellow color reminded me so much of the one used in Serendipity.
So I’m browsing online for the proper way to care for it, but of course I don’t know its name. But by description it found out that this type of cactus is actually called Moon Cactus.
The seedling (the top with color) lacks chlorophyll (necessary for the photosynthesis in plants) which is why they present in bright colors like red, orange, yellow, ect. And unless they are
grafted onto another cactus with normal chlorophyll
they will die as seedlings (so they form a type of co-dependent relationship with the other plant in order to survive. They need/support each other). However, a time will come where the bottom plant/cactus will begin to grow faster than the top one and they will no longer be able to remain together or else risk dying. Yet, the moon cactus can survive if it is re-attached to new plant/cactus partner.
In addition, sending a yellow moon cactus to someone you miss is a way to let them know that you are thinking about them.
Which is fascinating when you think again to what Serendipity means/represents.
Letting that special person know that you are there. The special bond you share and to allow themselves to be loved. The cactus then is not only a connection with the moon elements shown in the video, but its also a bit of a foreshadowing to Euphoria & Singularity by representing NEEDING the love and care of another to survive even though in a future it may be inevitable to part ways or risk loosing part of yourself.
Are you mind blown yet? Cause I am.
Basically… what he/she/they said above but I just want to add some thoughts. Regarding this part ‘so they form a type of co-dependent relationship with the other plant in order to survive. They need/support each other’ means the choice to use this plant in the video was specifically to highlight one point:
You cannot have light without darkness. You cannot be happy without sadness. This goes back to their influence from the book ‘The unbearable lightness of being by Milan Kundera’ which also talks about the balance of light/dark. To quote Namjoon ‘Even light is treasured more when there’s darkness’.
I also think it can be applied to my multiverse/time travel theory (which you 100% should click here to checkout). Because if you think about it when this lil cactus ball needs grafting onto another baby cactus it’s like the start of a whole new path for the ball (BTS) but on the new baby cactus (new timeline/universe).
bts don’t even need a fandom anymore they write their own fanfiction and make their own gfx and social media aus and fake subs and they buy their own merch this is kick out the stans culture
