yoonyjeong:

I have one thing to say

If you don’t know the history of why there is animosity between Korea and Japan, don’t tell me or any other Korean to get over it.

ISTG, just because you support BTS, doesn’t mean you should be okay with this.

Besides the fact that this man, Akimoto Yasushi has been associated with rightwingers of Japan (who still believe in Imperialism and deny the war crimes the Japanese military committed in the past) he is also a misogynist and writes about underage girls taking off their clothes.

No, no one should be okay with this. BangPD requested him to write Bird. REQUESTED him specifically, because he likes his view of the world. WTH?!?!?!?

There are so many lovely Japanese writers out there, find someone else.

Once again, you don’t know how many Koreans (especially women) have suffered in the past, you don’t know the history, or the hatred spoken by rightwingers in Japan. Just because you love the group, doesn’t mean you should support this song.

I can see from my inbox that people feel strongly about the issue regarding
HyunA and E’Dawn.

HyunA and E’Dawn knew the risks, they know how corrupted and unforgiving
the idol world is. They knew what it would cost them to tell the truth
to go against their company, and it was freaking brave.

What happened to them is unfair and it makes me bloody angry.

The thing is if we only blame the fans, for boycotting, not supporting the idols it means that we are looking only at a symptom, not the illness itself. I’m not condoning their behaviour, I’m saying this is bigger than fans boycotting a couple who admitted that they had been dating for 2 years.

And it’s quite convenient for companies, like Cube entertainment to let everyone believe that they came to this decision because the fans wanted that, that they are not responsible in any way. Poor them, they are just a business company.

The question is who gave the fans so much power to begin with? Who led them to believe that idols were their possessions? Those companies are glad to toy, manipulate, fans above all younger ones, so they would spend more money on the idols, merchandising, every single item the idols promote. They gave fans the right to question idols’ lives.

The companies create for those idols an image of innocence, of being forever single, looking for the right person, making 12 year old, 16 year old girls believe that it could be them.
That’s why their best target is the teenage girl.

And they have been doing this for years and it’s part of the Kpop culture. It’s so embedded that you can’t separate it from Kpop. You have to add to that South Korea mentality when it comes to dating and what is socially acceptable or not in the country. And that differs from what Western countries do and think.

Also a lie by omission is still a lie, and Cube entertainment lied and forced
HyunA and E’Dawn to do the same. Some young fans were angry because there was not a nuance in their answer, when asked if they were single, like for instance when BTS said “we are lonely when we don’t have a boyfriend or a girlfriend,” implying that they date or have been dating someone.

Now try to explain to a teenage girl that the handsome idol she wanted and who kept repeating that he was single had been dating right under her eyes; the idol she wanted to look like and that she couldn’t be. How is she supposed to react when a whole culture has been telling her, if you spend the money on idols, they are yours?

Of course not all Korean fans are like this. However If we think that the fans who scrutinize the idols, boycott them when they are not pleased are monsters, we need to wonder who created those monsters and for what purpose.

In a perfect world those fans would understand that idols’ private lives are none of their business. But a perfect world is not ruled by money, greed and idiocy.

thotjoy:

for cube to say they can’t trust hyuna and hyojong anymore is fucking bullshit. they were dating for two years. for those two years hyuna still made music, she still worked hard, she still promoted and made cube the most money, hyojong still worked hard, he still debuted, he still made music and produced for pentagon and other cube artists, hyuna and hyojong were professional in triple h. they were fine for two fucking years. there was no way cube didn’t know that they were together.

noquitter:

this won’t get 1% of the women’s version of this post.

the world we live in, and people in general don’t care about men. we are pretty much robots who aren’t allowed to show emotion. we’re taught from a young age that boys don’t cry.

fact is women are sexualised, men are idealised. because men can’t be raped because they’re big and strong right? right? yea, pretty much the idiots view of living.

I read on twitter that Jungkook has begun to stop calling Tae “hyung” and started speaking more banmal to him. Informalities was one of the solid proofs that actually made me ship jikook…I’m insecure so do you think there’s any difference between informalities between Jikook and T**kook?

la-fleur-de-lotus:

Hi!

Hmmmm….I’m wondering which side of the fandom is spreading this convenient and sudden information, and what a shock, it’s coming from the hellmouth twitter, the popular ship HQ.

JK treats, talks to JM differently, always have and I presume always will. He has been informal with him from the very beginning. He does it behind closed doors and also on V-lives, on the beach, in the streets, on national television, etc., because why not?

The day JK starts calling Tae, baby, princess, dangshin, etc. Well it will be time to destroy all the KM altars and think of a wedding present for the real realest couple of all time (the
RRCOAT), hidden by BH  and see if Shawn Mendes is still single.

All the hyungs let JK speaks in an informal way to them sometimes, when they are joking, playing games, but he never “crosses the line”, like he does with JM. Probably because they wouldn’t let him, I doubt Tae would, but it’s only my personal opinion.

The only solid proof that you need to ship Jikook is what they make you feel, when you watch them interact, laugh, argue, have fun, the rest, above all what another ship says shouldn’t matter. It’s between you and KM.

F.

I would like to say to the last anon that Kookie calls TaeTae “Tae-hyung” not “Taehyung” thus he’s not speaking to him informally. Idk who spread this or how it was spread and yes i’m k-army.

la-fleur-de-lotus:

Anon 2 : That bs they were spreading. It was literally “Tae(nickname) hyung(older
brother)” like “V hyung” not just Taehyung. Please cmiiw but I think
when JK said V, he wasnt talking to him directly? Like when they’re
usually playing games, you’ll hear him say “RM”, “Suga” & even “Jin”
w/o using “hyung”. Can your anon link the vid where JK directly talk to
him w/o using hyung? And please, dont be insecure. Jungkook has
countless of times called Jimin, just Jimin, also Jiminie & Jiminah,
so dont worry.

 Hi there!

IAnon 1: Thank you for making that clear. I don’t think that there are any particular videos, a big account from the popular ship on twitter probably started it. You will know better than I do.

I think it’s this time of the year again, which happens several times a year? Several times a months, week? Day? Let’s make our ship more relevant by copying what JK and JM (who are brothers by the way), do.

To the K-army anon, you could go see the popular ship, show them your birth certificate, scream that you are Korean, speak Korean, show you Korean passport and explain all this, they will STILL deny what you say, and tell you that you are wrong. It’s not about the truth unfortunately.

This is how it is.

Hugs,

F.
