someone found a vid of jimin saying the korean word for the n slur and fans are saying “it not a racist word, it means a cute black >:(” but someone who’s studied korean for years+ koreans showed that it IS a racist word and is used by a lot of racists old koreans but also was used against wiz khalifa. now fans are saying they’re jimin antis even tho the person who proves it’s a slur is actually a fan of jimin like ?? why do ormies claim someone’s an anti for talking about anti-blackness??

blease:

i looked it up on naver and the first two translations literally speak for themselves. bts stans putting up threads saying it’s a word often used, as if that means something when your society is antiblack, people saying it was meant endearingly?? while he said it to jungkook cause he was getting more tan. anyway. delusional ormy that cant get past their obsession for their fave, here are some threads : https://twitter.com/hanchuIs/status/1019655655244926977?s=09

I’M SCREAMING. I HAVE NO WORDS. THIS NEEDS TO GO VIRAL. THIS NEEDS TO BE SEEN. TAG ALL THOSE FUCKERS IN IT. STEPHEN YOU ARE A LEGEND

“Shut the hell up, you broken hateful dweebs” is the battle cry of a generation.

I heard a great disturbance in the force and suddenly millions of butthurt fanboys cried out in protest.

can people please stop spreading all this crap about jimin?? if it WAS actually what he said, then obviously he should be held responsible, but its seems like its been mistranslated to hell and back. im honestly just over here loosing my marbles. if jimin is racist (i dont believe he is even close to that) then yes, he deserves to be called out on it, absolutely. but this is insane and just flat out disgusting behavior from so many people, wishing harm on him and his family. i cant.

babyminssi:

This is a good thread to explain what the word he said means and how he used it in case you want to read. But yes this entire thing was blown out of proportion and of course Jimin was misinterpreted YET AGAIN. It’s an official video (from 2015) for god’s sake do people really think BH would leave that up if what he said was bad? I’m honestly so tired. People in this fandom (English speakers) tend to forget (or don’t care enough to know) that there are multiple ways to translate what the boys say. Korean to English isn’t always black and white and there’s context/situations to consider and so forth, and some things just don’t translate well. That is why there are usually different translations of the same thing floating around, and why translators have to go into detail to explain some of bts’ lyrics. I’ve also seen so many Korean speakers talk about how lovely and pretty Jimin speaks and how he always has a way with saying things. Yet somehow he is the one to ALWAYS get mistranslated/misinterpreted or have his words used against him. I’ve lost count of how many times mistranslations cause him to receive SO much hate because people refuse to do their own research and rather attack him blindly or because they’re biased. And the fact that they wish harm on him and his family because of it is absolutely disgusting.

EDIT: I also want to point out that there are biased Karmys out there who are saying that he meant it in a bad way, as well as people using google translate to determine what he said was in fact racist. This is why it’s always good to check with MULTIPLE sources. The thread I linked goes into great detail.

I know I might get a lot of hate for sharing this, but I had to because I had to share my opinion…

BTS’s new title song has been leaked and I don’t really know what to feel about this. I never ever wanted them to sing about “bitches” or ass in that matter, I don’t really feel like it’s them and I really hope they won’t go that road.

It’s really strange hearing Tae saying “let that booty drop to the floor”.

But I don’t know, what do you guys think?… You can listen to it HERE

y’all that smeraldo site linked with bts posted again but about a flower called ‘riposta’

I looked up Riposta but it seems like another fake flower?? It means response/answer in Italian..

I told y’all a few days ago that the site updated saying they were opening again so I’m guessing the opening date will be around the time jintro is dropping …

WAIT FUCK I JUST NOTICED

‘Similar to my smeraldo but they’re under water’

So the smeraldo is jin and the riposta is tae ??

Word.

The Texan Revolution formed from the anger of these white settlers in Texas, which was still part of Mexico at this time. They had moved from slave-owning southern part of the US and they became upset because the president of Mexico, Vicente Guerrero, abolished slavery. Mexico actually attempted to restrict American immigration into Mexico-owned Texas! The leaders of the Mexican centralist forces that defeated the Texan revolutionary forces at the Alamo were against slavery. If you ever hear a Texan say “Remember the Alamo!” just remember that the Texan settlers that died there had a vested interest in maintaining control of Texas territory so they could continue to use slave labor.

forget the alamo.

Fuck the alamo

Not only does the alamo suck as a historical monument, but fuck the people who fought there

Remember The Alamo, NOT as a brave battle, but as an important step in maintaining  slavery.  That may also help understand why the 14th Amendment, did NOT end slavery, it only transferred ownership from private hands to Government ownership.

For the first half of my life I lived in San Antonio. We were taught (from Kindergarten) that the people who fought in the Alamo were the heroes. Mexico the bad guy. It was a WOAH moment when I learned that wasn’t the case.

Also it’s super boring going to the Alamo every school year for field trips.

what if Jin manages to save Tae this time, and Tae (puta a mask on in Singularity and) confronts Jungkook in Fake Love to finally save him as well?

hercosmoscomplex:

Well we really don’t know what is going to happen but for me what happens next is that Jin realises he can’t save them because none of them love themselves, that’s why they keep ending up in tragedies. For example Suga must learn to love himself in order to stop pushing people who care about him away.

In Jin’s case he is constantly thinking of saving everyone himself but it’s breaking his heart when he fails… he must learn to love himself enough to put his own life first for once and in doing so he will have the epiphany that the answer to saving them all along was that they must save themselves… by loving themselves.

So I don’t think Jin will try to save V again… I think what comes next is that they grow and realise they have to love themselves. But I could very easily be wrong.

Ty for the ask! 💜

BTS MV Story Timeline(s) and Euphoria Glitches explained.

hercosmoscomplex:

Okay first I’m excited to share my cool Euphoria discoveries with you. But also who is excited for Answer’s release on August 24th?! I gotta tell you this is me rn…

image

Anyway as there is likely a crapload of content inbound for Answer I thought I should finally get around to that Euphoria/Glitch post. I’m a lazy human, sue me…

image

My only hope with this post is that it explains Euphoria clearly for you.

The most obvious thing in Euphoria is that we see very similar scenes to past MV’s. To understand this you need to understand that one small change…

image

…can create a butterfly effect on the future, creating a whole other timeline as I’ve explained in my main theory posts (*click here to read*).

I believe Jin has created butterfly effects multiple times and we can see him doing this by burning the petals in the music videos as I showed in this post/below.

image

What I don’t think anyone else has noticed is that you can physically see the timeline in glitches on the Euphoria MV. Keep reading…

First think about if Jin is going back in time to change the timeline, when would he go back to and why?

image

Well it’s simple, he wants to save those he loves, so of course he will go back to the moments of/before their tragedies. I’m going to show you a few screenshots now from Euphoria and see if you can spot anything strange…

image
image
image
image

Do You see it? That little blue ‘glitch’ line that cuts through these pivotol moments from I Need U for Jungkook? That’s not all, each member has the same thing happen…

Jimin’s

image

Suga’s

image

JHope’s

image

V’s, both with his killing his dad scene

image
image
image

and his jumping/drowning scene…

image
image

RM’s

image
image

So for me, these blue lines are the embodiment of the actual timeline and the reason these blue lines glitch through these particular moments is because they are the moments Jin undoes in the past therefore creating a butterfly effect on the timeline/future.

Want to know something even cooler? In spring day, RM was photographed at a bus stop with an image behind it showing the ‘blue line’:

image

Do you see those little green and red lines that come off the main blue line on this image? You can’t see it very well from the photo on here but they say ‘I NEED U  Green line’ and ‘Youth Red line’. To me this suggests that what happened in I NEED U and in their youth is seperate from the main timeline. The blue line is the timeline created (aka the blue lines in the glitch images above) from the moment Jin changed the timeline during prologue.

Jin undid those tragedies and even though that means they never happened, the boys move forward on the timeline with feelings remaining from those moments even if they perhaps don’t exactly remember everything clearly. That’s why Jin’s song from Wings is called ‘Awake’ because he is the only one who remembers everything exactly as it happened… Just read the lyrics again, they take on a whole new meaning now don’t they?

Maybe I, I can never fly
I can’t fly like the flower petals over there
Or as though I have wings
Maybe I, I can’t touch the sky
Still, I want to stretch my hand out
I want to run, just a bit more

Wide awake wide awake wide awake
Don’t cry
Wide awake wide awake wide awake
No lie
Wide awake wide awake wide awake
Don’t cry
Wide awake wide awake wide awake
No lie

So what exactly did Jin change to create a butterfly effect on the future?

First, in order to prevent Tae’s tragedy of him killing his father Hobi was swapped into the position of his father. So Hobi is taken from the moment with Jimin in the hospital…

image

… and moved here into V’s moment in the timeline:

image

This is Jin’s attempt to save V from tragedy. Next Jungkook is moved into Yoongi’s fire suicide scene…

image

Where he drags Yoongi out of the fire.

image

This is Jin’s attempt at saving Yoongi from killing himself with fire. Jin watches through the windows into the timelines, which is symbolic of the fact that only he sees/knows everything that happened.

image

And Jin directly saves Namjoon from blowing himself up at the gas station by going to that moment before it happens…

image

Jimin’s ‘saving’ is less obvious. He is left alone at the hospital when Jhope is moved into V’s scene to save V. But when Euphoria starts we see two versions of events play out concurrently. In the past version of events he lied to get out of the hospital (in lie) telling the doctor what he wanted to hear (see the album notes for this) and in Euphoria we see a symbolic portrayal of that happen. In that version of events on the old timeline we see Jimin is still in his hospital outfit breaking out…

image

but then concurrently we see another version of the events… on a different timeline, where Jimin is dressed and running out with his friends in a different manner. In this version he is wearing casual clothing rather than a hospital outfit which would suggest perhaps he is no longer a patient, or if he is, things are different this time in his escape.

image

The fashion style here is very similar to what they wear in the rest of the Euphoria MV where Jin thinks he has saved them all. It’s very retro/nineties in general. I think they did this specifically to highlight that Euphoria is the same moment in time (from prologue) but on a different timeline.

image

And as all of this is going on at the start of Euphoria, Clair De Lune is playing in the background. This is very symbolic because Claire De Lune also played in the background at the start of ‘Prologue’ in this moment…

image

Watching the Prologue MV it would be easy to think that V is alone after killing his father and waits for his friends to meet him in the derelict pool area. But if you look a bit closer, that isn’t the case. V’s outfit is a hoodie and a white shirt which is covered in blood as he calls a ‘hyung’ and asks to see his friends.

image

But when his friends turn up, V is chilling on a mattress looking normal, no stress, no blood and a totally different outfit…

image

So Jin has undone V’s tragedy with his father and what you see in the rest of Prologue is the timeline as it happens without that event. And this moment is mirrored in Euphoria with V laying on the mattress in a similar fashion…

image

This is important because it tells us that after V kills his father Jin changes things and that’s what we go on to see in the rest of the Prologue MV… a new timeline where the events from I NEED U didn’t happen. It’s important because that’s EXACTLY what happens in Euphoria too. That’s why the same music is used at the start of Euphoria and the start of Prologue, to show that the moments are the same/repeating… the start of a new timeline and a new attempt by Jin to save them from themselves.

Just before we move on, have a read of the English translation of the Clair De Lune poem:

image

‘They don’t believe their happiness’ – I’m highlighting this because although Jin has changed the timline and undone the tragedies… they still have the feelings inside due to a past that now doesn’t exist. They still have their issues and feelings even without the events. That’s why undoing the tragedy of killing his father does not stop the next tragedy of V jumping into the sea and drowning later…

image

And that’s why stopping Jungkook from being run over…

image

… does not stop him from jumping off the construction site.
For more info/evidence of Jungkooks second tragedy read *this post*.

image

This is because history repeats, almost like their tragedies are fate (but it’s not a case of fate, it’s more like it will always happen unless they change within themselves… to love themselves).

If you are still a little lost basically; Jin tries to undo tragedy first during prologue but this only leads to more tragedy because the boys still don’t love themselves and their mental issues/feelings are still there despite the past being undone. As a result tragedy comes again and Jin continues to try and undo more tragedy by changing things again, one occasion of this is shown in Euphoria. It’s a cycle that will keep repeating until they learn to love themselves (Answer).

Side note… Can I just get a ‘hurrah!’ for an idol group willing to talk about Mental Health and the fact that it’s not generally something that is simply caused by outward events but by underlying conditions? I love these guys/bighit so much.

So Euphoria is a new beginning where Jin has saved them again and they will all be happy/healthy in this timeline right? Wrong, because in comes fake love where yet again we see the boys issues take over them. If you haven’t already I strongly suggest you read my Fake Love Explained post by *clicking here*, I go into much more detail there about why they end up back in their past issues. I actually think that it’s happened on more than just these two occasions, but these are the ones they’ve chosen to highlight in the music videos so for the sake of simplicity that’s how I’ve explained it.

All of this combined is why Euphoria feels a lot
like Prologue and has so many similarties, because it is simply a parallel universe where
the original tragedies didn’t happen.

image

That’s why the lyrics of Euphoria sing about Utopia (a fake paradise) and why Jin is smiling because at this point he thinks he has finally saved them all (poor kid).

My predictions for Answer:

  • Previously predicted it’s release/order.
  • Previously predicted Epiphany as Jin’s intro… glad everyone else has caught up lol.
  • I’m expecting an
Ethereal/cloudy/heavenly sort of vibe for the Epiphany MV (not sure why lol).
  • I’m expecting the song to be more like Magic Shop in musical style than Awake/slow-sad ballad just because of the subject matter (maybe because I mentioned Answer/Jintro on twitter and DJ Swivel liked my tweet).
  • The big epiphany and answer is that they must love themselves. This will be shown in the MV’s and in the subject matter of the songs.
  • Maybe we will get more highlight reels if we’re lucky. But I’m not certain about this, Bighit have a tendency to leave these things without directly wrapping them up. We will see.
  • It will be lighter in general than Fake Love. With a ‘reality’ element too it (I don’t know exactly how to explain this one but I will be able to pick it out when it happens lol).
  • We’re all going to lose our wigs as per usual. GL Fam.

I hope you enjoyed reading. Send me an ask if you still have questions. You can read my other theory posts by *clicking here*.

Reblog if you agree that BTS and Bighit are freaking creative masterminds and you are super sad that LY era is nearly over.
