Participatory fans on Tumblr adopt specialized fandom tags, which are unlikely to be used by Tumblr members who do not identify with a particular fandom or subsection of fandom. Such tags are not merely composed of the name the fandom (such as a show or movie title), or even one of the primary characters. Rather, specialized fandom tags further delineate the potential audience, trying to draw the attention of a specific subsection of the larger fan base or to conceal content from other fans (and content producers) who do not want to view romantic or sexual content. In using these tags, widely scattered fans take on some characteristics of communities. Norms develop regarding what is posted and how fans interact with each other when a particular tag is deployed. Without an architecturally defined community structure, content and conduct are nonetheless debated and controlled.

Can we talk about how Namjoon casually mentioned seeing a therapist likes it’s not a big deal? Well, because it isn’t. But we know that in many cultures and countries, including Korea, mental health is a taboo topic. Namjoon just casually mentioning he’s got a therapist might not be something you or me are shocked about, but I can guarantee you many k-ARMYs were. I don’t think you are even aware of the impact this mention had, but I’ve seen so many of our lovely k-diamonds feeling less ashamed and alone for having their own personal struggles. Because even Kim Namjoon does. And he’s not ashamed.
the more videos and gifsets from the red carpet and interviews i see the more i notice how namjoon has always silently been there for yoongi. we all know this kind of events is the opposite of yoongi’s cup of tea and there were too many screaming nosy strangers everywhere and it definitely overwhelmed him and made him close up and hide behind the other members. but then i started noticing supporting half-hugs, and silent looks to check whether he’s doing okay and little grabs at the elbow to encourage him to speak or at the very least to ground him. anything to make him less afraid and tired and anxious. these gestures are so small and lowkey and unnoticeable but
at the same time
they mean so much??? years of living together and surviving countless hardships together made them closer that words aren’t needed anymore, silent looks and concerned eyes speak volumes for themselves and thinking about this kind of friendship makes me emotional each time because it doesn’t exist on cameras, it’s never a glittery thing to show off and scream about; it’s always something real and genuine and it feels like home and softness and quiet unconditional love
