thanks for the concern!! but my motto has always been to do what i want and what i can to support bts, whether it’s on tumblr or twitter, not to become a famous stan. for me, i can’t translate fast ‘cause it’ll result in mistranslating or missing out sth in the translation which could lead to bigger problems like misunderstandings and unwanted dramas affecting bts, so i choose to give myself enough time to deliver the best translation i can. pushing myself to translate fast or to translate sth i don’t want doesn’t work for me (trust me i tried to train myself to translate faster but it just doesn’t work lol), it puts stress on me and ultimately causes me to drop bts to relieve that stress, which is sth i don’t want to happen. i adore bts too much to allow that to ever happen. they’re good for me, in many ways, so i’m not gonna let the pressure of becoming famous stans (or whatever you call this, idk what it’s usually called) affect the joy i feel from stanning bts. after all, what’s the point of being famous when i don’t enjoy stanning bts anymore? it’s a hobby after all, no need to put unnecessary pressure on myself when real life has done it already. i’ll stick to my usual method, which is translating what i want to when i want to. there’re so many good translators out there to read from, so thank you again for thinking of me! 🙂
No, false alarm and apparently there was some miss information going around…lol. So basically, what Jimin said was “I’m Jimin” and the word “I’m” sounds like “Jeon.” Here are some receipts from korean speakers:

I think the thing is in most asian countries you keep your family name which is often your father’s…at least from where I come from anyway. It’s quite different from westerner’s where you change your surname to your spouses and tbh I prefer it that way…
I’d also like to take this chance to say, it’s better if you check multiple translations or following a few accounts so that you’re not relying on a single translator…I know it can be a pain in the ass sometimes but it’s better that we don’t spread misleading information as things get out of hand fairly quickly~
Jeon Jimin or Park Jimin, Jeon Jungkook or Park Jungkook doesn’t change the fact that they’re close and plus it’s not like we’ve not been fed graciously these past few days already 😉
