hi! i’m not sure if it’s you who made the chart for BTS’ first week album sales (i feel like it was you), but i’ve been looking everywhere for them and i can’t seem to find it? do you know if someone made the album sale chart with love yourself: answer’s album sales?

ktaebwi:

yeah it’s me, though i didn’t make the chart for first week sales this time since unlike other albums, ly answer didn’t have promotion fansigns and thus the sales wasn’t boosted by fansigns like usual. i did however make a first month sales chart 🙂

The thing is that Korean Supr Court made a ruling that Jpn war crime companies have to pay damages to the Koreans who were enslaved during the war. In the Jpn newspaper, an article called “Block the Krn wave” emerged and Jpn extr-rights targeted BTS, making a issue of Jimin wearing that T-shirt a year ago and RM’s tweet “No future for the people who forgot history”.Asahi TV, which is linked to the Japanese extreme right, had to read the anti-Korea atmosphere in Jpn and withdrew bts from the show

tinyjjks:

so are they going to postpone it?

okay so i rlly love tokyo and i thought about looking up the lyrics for many different reasons and i came across this and i’m in tears…………

“Tokyo” is the first track off of RM’s second mixtape, mono. Tokyo written in hanzi is 東京, and 東京 in hangul is 동경, which translates in English as the state of longing.

namjoon rlly out there being the most amazing poet ever i’m not okay :’)

The piano featured in the track is the same melody as BTS’s 2015 track “I Need U” played backwards.

i’m dumb

To anyone wondering as to the controversy surrounding the shirt Jimin wore and why the Japan TV station canceled BTS’s appearance it was the shirt pictured above. The photo was actually taken on August 15 last year, which is National Liberation Day in Korea, making it reasonable that Jimin wore the patriotic T-shirt.It depicts a scene of the atomic bomb that was dropped over Nagasaki Japan back during World War II alomg with the words PATRIOTISM OURHISTORY LIBERATION KOREA. Tensions between South Korea and Japan have been around since WWII because between 1910and 1945 Japan occupied South Korea. Horrible things were done, forced labor among other things and so tensions between the two countries has been very high. The CEO of the company that designed the shirt Lee Kwang Jae of LJ Company has been quoted as saying, “I did not include that part to mock Japan. I did it to express the historic truth and timing that after the atomic bomb was detonated, Japan’s unconditional surrender led to independence.”

Unfortunately with tensions so high the tv stations don’t want to run the risk of riots from their viewers so this was this biggest reason behind the cancellation.
