Mcgonagall: gets Harry an expensive racing broom

Also Mcgonagall: that wand needs replacing, Weasley

Whoa there!

Shitpost or not, we do not come after Professor McGonagall on this planet.

It was the best thing a teacher could do in either situation.

You’ve got an abused boy who has never had anything other than the spiders in his cupboard, he is grasping at every new, amazing, thing he finds because it’s all so wonderful? You give him a new, amazing, thing.

You have a boy who grew up in a household where family comes first, where humbleness is key, where taking handouts is seen as embarrassing? You remind that boy that he needs to find a way to replace his broken school supplies and then you sit back and do nothing because you know the family will sort itself out, it always does, and to interfere would be an insult on that perseverance and the family as a whole.

Harry was ecstatic to receive the broom. Ron would have been mortified if his teacher gave him a wand (and so would the rest of the Weasleys).

That’s how you teach.

Not just by knowing which of your kids needs something but by knowing which of your kids will accept something when you give it to them.

WE DO NOT COME AFTER PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL ON THIS PLANET.

okay okay okay i held back from saying this earlier but listen okay i understand all the hype about this era and you’ve been pretty emotional about it too but like don’t you think it’s being overhyped? like the album itself (or well. the new songs) aren’t AMAZing like i don’t?? get it?? even BTS seem to be pretty emotional about it??

hobslobster-remade:

oh lorD okay

it’s not this era that people are losing their shit over, it’s not THESE specific songs or THIS specific concept (although those are definitely contributing factors). it’s because this is the end of an ERA but it’s also a beginning of a whole new one, and this hasn’t just been a musical journey, it’s been a reflection of everything bts have gone through during these last few years.

you’re probably aware that the love yourself era is the era that ties together everything from hyyh onwards. bts have not only planned this whole adventure of youth and self-love, but they’ve been living through it. they’ve gone through the fear of growing up, they’ve gone through being dependent on others to find peace within themselves, they’ve gone through not having a concrete sense of identity, and finally, they’ve gone through learning self-love. this has been their message, their concept, but it’s also been a track record of their life so far (that they’ve deemed us worthy enough to share with) and i think that’s what gets to people the most.

all the posts about “character development” and “BTS DID THAT” aren’t just there for nothing. hyyh started with i need u, a title track that played on dependency of others and talked about a falling apart. years later, they have another title track that talks solely of loving themselves and not needing anyone else to do so. in between the years, you see how they’ve struggled with identity through mixtapes (portrayed very differently, from joon’s heart breaking identity crisis to yoongi’s shameless acceptance of being an artist without set labels to hoseok’s joyous, unapologetic welcoming of the idol life) and even official songs, and this is why it means so much. because it’s the end of this era, but it’s the beginning of something better in bts’ lives. it shows they’re ready to move out of this endless circle of doubt and confusion, and i couldn’t be happier.

Not to be negative but it bothers me so much how a few armys Can be bad and other fandoms blame the whole fandom but other fandoms have some really bad fans too to the point where they try to uplift their celebrity they’re a fan of by making fun of other celeb’s diseases like Selena Gomez. We literally just breathe and they attack us and hate us all for no reason

kpoptart216:

I don’t really follow along with all the fan wars and stuff and honestly I don’t want to. It’s kinda sickening to see people insult eachother over their idols. I’ll admit though that no fandom is perfect, there’s always the few that have to ruin it for everyone. Even ARMY. Some people are really…intense. I saw something the other day where an ARMY had sent something to Jonghyun’s fan that was really degrading or something and honestly I was disgusted. I agree though it’s not fair to attack the entire fandom especially since there’s literally millions. But I can see where it comes from. I hate how some fans think they have the authority to belittle people in other fandoms or people from the same fandom. I also hate how some people somehow magically dictate what it takes to be a fan. So what if some people couldn’t stream the MV all fucking day or couldn’t buy an album? I don’t see how any one fan can just come out and say “THIS is what takes to be a fan” like no stfu. Unless the artist or their entertainment company themselves come out and say “this is what it takes” which i highly doubt, no one should be talking shit about what others do or don’t do to support their idol.

As for attacking other idols and their fans, honestly what even do you get out of it? You get a bad name for yourself, all the other fans, and ultimately the artists you claim to love and support. Honestly spend that time doing stuff that actually matters. Ugh rant over

pasteletty:

they have song ‘‘save me’’

now they have song ‘’i’m fine’’, which contains samples from ‘’save me’’ and contrast lyrics

save me and i’m fine are the same sentence but upside down, just like songs

they are so consistent with linking stuff, like every single detail is reference to something else

THEY WERE PLANNING THIS WHOLE THING FROM BEGGINING LIKE 18 ALBUMS AHEAD WHAT ELSE ARE THEY HIDING?

You can call me artist (artist)
You can call me idol (idol)

I don’t care
I’m proud of it
