edit: this post is about siblings & our relationships with each other. it’s not erasure if u don’t have siblings. only children learn that everything’s not about you challenge.
Honestly shout out to people with anxiety and panic disorders, y’all don’t get enough recognition for your hard work. Pushing through your body’s instinct to fight/flee/freeze at the slightest worry is a whole new level of strength. You’re battling almost everyday against a fast-acting animalistic response that humans have been experiencing since the dawn of time, a response that is literally designed to take full control of your actions away from you. That takes so much courage and perseverance. You’re strong as fuck.
Bangtan choosing their title track to be IDOL for this final segment of this chapter is so noteworthy. This entire concept was shown as a journey to loving oneself, flaws and all. With this title track, they showed that in every way possible. Not just by singing about it but being confident enough to pick a song with an experimental and atypical sound to be their title track. It’s the ultimate sign of confidence and shows they’re finally believing in themselves as artists, they’re definitely not afraid to do something out of the ordinary no matter how popular they get.
People on Twitter are celebrating. Tumblr,,,,what’s up? I’m seeing a bunch of ya’ll bitching because “it’s too random”, “it’s too much cgi”, etc.
You do…realize that’s the point their proving. They’re bucking everything.
– Kpop mv’s get a bad rap because people claim they’re “XD XD so random!!!1″. Hence the random CGI effects. [read this tweet] – They DIRECTLY handled the artists vs. idols situation in the first few lines. [see this tweet] – We’ve all been bitching about the airport safety situation. So they had people grabbing at Tae. – Taehyung wore his glasses AND his mullet. Lots of people downed him for both of those things. – Everyone dog-piling on them and saying they were becoming “too western” with DNA. Hanboks. Fans. References to Korean history. [read this tweet] – Someone told Namjoon on a VLive to stop using so many filters on stream. So they used lots in that one part of the video. [read this tweet] – “All kpop sounds/looks the same!” …which is why they used a African-Korean fusion beat with this particular music video. – “All of the members look the same”. See the duplicated faces of the members. – They also said for everyone to mind their own business because they’re gonna do whatever the hell they want to.
